Kristin is an associate with Monroe Moxness Berg and practices with the Litigation practice
group. Kristin has broad spectrum litigation experience in both state and federal courts,
including the following subject areas:
- Employment law;
- Land use;
- Environmental regulation;
- Uniform Commercial Code, warranty, and other commercial disputes;
- Construction law and mechanic’s liens;
- Real estate litigation;
- Insurance law; and
-
Professional malpractice.
Kristin also counsels clients on land-use permitting and environmental review matters pending
before cities, townships and other regulatory agencies.
Whether by summary judgment, trial or settlement, Kristin works to swiftly position clients for
the most favorable result. She appreciates first-hand the inherent costs of litigation, and for
that reason, focuses on litigating economically and exploring with clients opportunities to avoid
litigation and to resolve disputes informally.
Kristin earned her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law and graduated cum laude.
During her time there, she was a member of the William Mitchell Law Review and eventually served as
Editor. Kristin also participated on the Rosalie E. Wahl Moot Court Competition and argued
before the Minnesota Court of Appeals during her work with the Legal Assistance to Minnesota
Prisoners (LAMP). She received a Masters in Music from Colorado State University, graduating
at the top of her class, and a B.A. from St. Olaf College, graduating magna cum laude.
